A judge reviewed the conservatorship established in January 2008 to oversee Britney Spears' personal and financial affairs at a hearing on Thursday, September 30 and ruled that it should continue.
"At this time all orders will remain in full force and effect," said Judge Reva Goetz.
During the hearing, the judge discussed ending the conservatorship individually with Britney and Jamie Spears, Britney's father and conservator.
"I met with him (Jamie) and her (Britney) separately. I had a very nice conversation with her. Mr. Ingham (Britney's attorney) was present," the judge said.
According to TMZ, the Judge has discussed the possibility of ending the conservatorship with lawyers in the case during several past hearings also.
During the hearing on Thursday, the judge also approved "investment strategies" by Britney's conservators.
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for October 14.
