Marc Anthony was forced to postpone a gig in Puerto Rico over the weekend after he was struck down with laryngitis.
Suffering a severe sore throat, the Latino swooner was scheduled to play the Puerto Rico Coliseum in the country’s capital San Juan on Sunday night, but was forced to call off the show at the urging of doctors, who advised the star to rest his vocal chords for 48 hours before returning to the stage, according to Anthony’s publicist Blanca Lasalle. The Bronx-bred salsa star performed for a packed house at the same venue on Saturday night. Lopez joined him on stage for the final number of the night, a duet called “Preciosa.”
Marc’s now scheduled to give a rain check performance on Tuesday.
