Christina Aguilera is feeling the effects of the slump in the US housing market.
The “Fighter” hitmaker has yet to find a buyer for her Beverly Hills mansion more than two years after she placed the property on the market. The singer initially listed the property for just under $8 million in 2008. and subsequently purchased Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s $11.5 million home in Beverly Hills after the birth of her son, Max. Buyers, however, still aren’t biting, forcing her to knock millions off the buying price over the years.
The star dropped the price by another $255,000 last week, bringing the listing price down to $5.995 million in a last ditch effort to get the place sold, according to HousingWatch.com. Christina’s not the only homeowner feeling the effects of the housing crunch. Home sales in America plunged 27% in July, the lowest monthly drop in the last 15 years, according to a recent report by the National Association of Realtors.
