On Tuesday, Lohan voluntarily checked herself into drug treatment for the fifth time in three years. The decision follows a chaotic summer for the scandal-stained screen star, which saw the once-promising actress jailed twice for violating her DUI-related probation and failing a court-ordered drug test after confessing to using cocaine. The starlet, 24, entered an unidentified rehabilitation center in Southern California late Monday night and is expected to remain there until an Oct. 22 court hearing to determine her punishment for the failed drug test.
Lohan did three stints in rehab in 2007 after admitting that she was addicted to drugs and alcohol. In August, she was released early from a fourth court-ordered stay at the rehab center at UCLA Medical Center.
