The 23-year-old Gossip Girl star appeared on the The Late Show with David Letterman to plug her new film, The Town.
Her form hugging sequined dress had cut-out shoulders and elbow length sleeves.
She accessorized with black Charlotte Olympia pumps with towering heels and a chunky ring on her right hand ring finger. Her hair was styled in a ponytail with bangs framing her face.
Lively posed for photogs and greeted fans before entering the theater.

She plays Krista Coughlin, a young mom of a 19-month-old daughter from a low income area in Boston.
She had to wear greasy hair extensions with roots looking dirty brown and badly done acrylic nails. She also slept with tons of eyeliner so that she woke up next morning with it fallen on her face.
She had to match her physical transformation with an accent and attitude befitting the role. The film opened in theaters on September 17.
