Bristol Palin Bar Investigation

The 19-year-old daughter of conservative Republican Sarah Palin, who is currently competing on the hit ABC celeb-reality show Dancing With the Stars, is at the center of an official investigation after she was caught hobnobbing at an Anchorage, Alaska water hole with pro partner Mark Ballas last Friday night, The Alaska Dispatch is reporting.

Palin’s visit to the Rumrunners Old Towne Bar and Grill has prompted legal troubles for managers of the establishment, who are waiting to hear if they will face fines, liquor license revocation, and/or charges from the Alaska Department of Public Safety. The problem? According to Alaska state law, patrons under the age of 21, are not permitted in a bar without a legal guardian or spouse over the age of 21. At just 19, Bristol is underage and was not legally permitted to be inside the establishment.

State law would also allow a 19-year-old to visit a bar if the establishment is also designated as a restaurant and Young Miss Palin was indeed there to eat. Witnesses say Bristol was seen enjoying some nachos as she happily chatted with Mark, 24. However, state officials are still trying to determine whether or not Bristol had the right to be in the bar.

So much for a night out on the town.
