Katy Perry’s bust may have gotten the “Hot ‘N Cold” singer yanked from Sesame Street, but KP’s still welcome at one of Manhattan’s toniest addressses anytime.
Katy and fiance Russell Brand plopped down $2.7 million on a two-bedroom, two-bath penthouse on North Moore Street. The apartment, in Manhattan’s trendy TriBeca District, is on two levels and boasts shiny wooden floors, high-ceilings, and an in-set bookcase — providing plenty of room for Russ’ extensive collection of literature.
The condo — which comes complete with a south-facing terrace overlooking New York City — is in a no doorman building. Surprising for stars who recently tangled with paparazzi. Brand’s US visa may be revoked after the British-born comic got into a shoving match with a persistent snapper at Los Angeles International Airport earlier this month.
The duo is calling the new 1,500-square-foot apartment their “NYC Crash Pad” in order to avoid ponying over more dough for New York income taxes.
