Abhay Deol at Signature Golf Event

McDowell Signature brand ambassador Abhay Deol looked sporty at the launch of a golf event sponsored by the liquor brand in Mumbai on September 28.

The Signature Club Golf Championship will begin in the first week of October and run through December. Around 5,000 amateur golfers from 22 cities across the country will take part in the tournament.

The lean actor, who posed for photogs on green carpet with golf club, was dressed in faded blue slim jeans, white signature polo shirt and sneakers.

Abhay, 34, even tried his hand on golf.

"While golf has always been a sport for the stylish, suave, sophisticated and successful, McDowell Signature High Stakes Golf, is the kind of golf I'd like to play -- exciting, risky and bold. Signature is the kind of young brand that speaks to me and I'm proud to be the brand ambassador," Abhay said at the event.

Abhay, who is currently filming for Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, learnt deep sea diving and the Israeli martial art form, Krav Maga for his role in the film.
