Indian professional Tennis player Mahesh Shrinivas Bhupathi who has 11 Grand Slam titles in his credit got engaged to popular Bollywood actress, UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador and former Miss Universe Lara Dutta last week in New York.
Lara met Mahesh Bhupathi through a common friend and the two at once liked each other and started dating. The tennis star and Lara have been going strong ever since they met.
Bhupathi release the news Sunday stating on Twitter: “So Lara Dutta and me got engaged in NY (New York) last week. Its official now.” The two were in New York both for work; he had the New York hosted US Open and she had a magazine photoshoot.
In case you popped in late, Lara Dutta has had a living relationship with Model and Actor Kelly Dorjee while Mahesh Bhupathi was married to model Sweta Jaishankar. Lara came close to Mahesh as a client of Mahesh Bhupathi Celebrity Management Company.
