Pop crooner Justin Bieber narrowly escaped arrest last weekend — thanks to a smooth-talking boyguard — after the tween sensation was caught tossing water balloons at Maryland State Troopers.
The Biebs was in suburban Baltimore last Sunday for a much-hyped performance at the annual Maryland State Fair in Timonium. According to WBALTV.com, Bieber — was allegedly recently treated for exhaustion — was busy throwing water balloons at people’s crotches backstage when he struck a pair of state troopers, who were part of a unit on hand for crowd control. One of the balloons hit a trooper’s gun belt and burst, and the other one brushed a trooper on the chest before hitting the crowd.
On Thursday, state police spokesperson told the that it was “inappropriate behavior,” although no further action will be taken. Bieber has his handlers to thank for that. Just as one of the troopers was ready to bust the singer on a disorderly conduct charge, but one of his beefy bodyguards managed to talk the officer out of it.
