Lindsay Lohan could be heading back to jail after she tested positive for cocaine — and in a last ditch bid to save what’s left of a career that once seemed to hold so much promise, La Lohan has returned to AA.
Lohan went to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting Friday night and another one on Saturday afternoon — hours after online reports surfaced confirming that the star is still sniffing cocaine. We might find LiLo’s efforts a bit more convincing if she didn’t spend the remainder of Friday night out partying out around Hollywood.
A court-ordered drug test last week showed the Mean Girls star had the Class A stimulant in her system, according to reports that exploded on the Interwebs Friday. The reports also allege that Lindsay, 24, failed more than one test. A California judge previously warned the troubled starlet — who completed a two week stint in a suburban Los Angeles jail last month — that a failed test would result in 30 days behind bars.
Rather than lay low, Lindsay is making the most of her freedom now before she’s sent back to jail. Friday night saw her out all night with two male friends.
After the story of her return to the “Good Shit” broke in the press, Lindsay took to Twitter to admit the err of her ways.
“Regretably, I did, in fact, fail my most recent drug test. Substance abuse is a disease which unfortunately doesn’t go away overnight. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day…I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future. This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I’m prepared to face the consequences.”
