Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” has joined The Beach Boys’ ’60s single of the same name as one music’s Top 10 summer friendly songs, according to Billboard.On Thursday, the No. 1 charttoper — the soon-to-newlywed’s pop groove with West Coast rap star Snoop Dogg — topped the Music Bible’s annual survey of the hottest “Songs of the Summer.”
It seems to have been the season for collaborations: Coming in at No. 2 on the chart is Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna, followed by B.o.B’s “Airplanes” featuring Hayley Williams at No. 3, Usher’s “OMG” featuring Pitbull at No. 4, at No. 5 Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite,” and Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars’ reggae-tinged “Billionaire” snagged the sixth spot.
Rounding out the Top 10: Mike Posner’s “Cooler Than Me” at No. 7, Enrique Iglesias’ “I Like It” featuring Pitbull at No. 8, Drake’s “Find Your Love” at No. 9 and Eminem’s “Not Afraid” at No. 10.
