A golden ring that George Clooney's girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, has been spotted wearing has heightened speculations that wedding bells may soon toll.
However, Clooney's rep has put a damper on the speculations, telling Gossip Cop:
"I just checked the laws in every country in the world, and found that it is not against any law in any country to wear a ring on any finger one wishes. And that's the end of that story."
We think Elisabetta not breaking the law in any country isn't the point, the fact that by wearing the ring she is not breaking Clooney's law is what is important.
But then, last month, when Elisabetta was seen flaunting what looked like a giant engagement ring, his rep had explained, "It's a napkin ring," and he was probably right!
